This new residence uses both natural and
synthetic materials to develop an authentic traditional appearance and a low
maintenance exterior. Limestone columns and arches, granite steps, and a
mahogany door impart solidity to the main entrance; synthetic siding
materials are used on more distant surfaces where they are not as
immediately discernable, with an eye to minimizing long-term maintenance.
