This Civil War era residential structure had served as a professional office building for several decades, and required a total renovation to accommodate the open areas envisioned by new owners, an advertising agency.

The project’s colors and forms are often a response to the owner’s request for an energetic and vibrant work environment. New spaces include offices, conference rooms, and a large common gathering space.

A more casual entrance was required at the rear parking area. This new sheltered entry condition was developed with its relationship to the rear garden in mind.
