This two-story office building was built for a regional real estate development firm and their tenants. As a speculative office space structure, the architect’s initial involvement was to develop documents for construction of the building’s exterior skin, lobby spaces, and vertical circulation core.

The client’s request was for a simple and straightforward commercial office building where the primary building material would provide long-term maintenance free serviceability along with esthetic value. Steel hangers were attached to a pre-engineered steel frame to support the continuous brick spandrels above first and second floor windows. A brick archway and two-story glass area define the entry, and a notched corner reduces the boxiness of the otherwise simple shape. A lightweight stucco screenwall at the roof conceals the roof-top mechanical units from distant views.
